It's deliberate and no matter how many times I deleted them they came back. it's only a empty folder so I am not going to waste any more time on it. I've tried everything and even cmd commands didn't work. I've deleted it and the folder location as well and on every boot it creates the same folder empty each time in both places. It's a empty folder shortcut on my desktop. Or you could boot from a live boot disk and delete it. If you wish to delete it without using a 3rd party program (and I like Emco Unlockit) then you can boot to a command prompt and use that to navigate to it and delete it, avoiding any issues of Windows permissions and running programs. Try deleting it, then performing a clean boot (google if unsure how or see tutorial). is the folder being newly created on reboot, or is its creation time and date unchanged? In particular what is the creation date and time (properties)? (Make screenshots for yourself before you delete it so you can compare those with the regenerated folder).Ĭompare the dates and times shown by properties. If you delete it and see it regenerated, are its properties completely identical? What was the nature of its content- what type of files- any distinctive names of the files or folder?
